What you will do

• Lead HSE compliance and serve as the subject matter expert for the Silver Peak lithium mine and processing plant.
• Oversee site HSE programs, safety auditing, management engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and manage North American safety training programs to support MSHA and OSHA compliance.
• Lead or delegate HSE investigations and oversee the Emergency Response Team.
• Champion life-saving systems, including Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout.
• Supervise a small HSE and site security team and collaborate with operations, maintenance, leadership, and the off-site training coordinator.

Requirements

• 5+ years of safety program management experience in chemical manufacturing, petroleum, or mining.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field.
• Experience delivering training, conducting safety compliance audits, and developing safety systems, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple activities with varied scopes, schedules, and priorities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in-office at the Silver Peak site.

Nice to have

• Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Safety Management Specialist credentials.
• Competence in both OSHA and MSHA compliance.
• Influential leadership skills and expert knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
