Inventory Accounting Analyst

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $63,375–$88,000 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Support accounting, reporting, and analysis for inventory, gross margins, and standard costs.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for inventory movements, in-transit accruals, freight, and tariffs.
• Assist with financial close activities, inventory valuations, and reserves for slow-moving or obsolete stock under US GAAP.
• Review margin and cost variances, prepare reconciliations, and report on product, duty, and freight cost components.
• Coordinate with Product, Sales, IT, and Accounting teams on standard product costs, ERP testing, and inventory-related system issues.
• Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, process documentation, internal controls, and audit requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with standard cost accounting.
• Proficiency with SAP and other business systems.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to work onsite in Secaucus, New Jersey.
