Cost Accountant (Medtech)

Location: On-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. The role does not offer relocation.

Salary: $81,900–$122,800 annually

What you will do

• Maintain detailed standard costs in the ERP system and support standard cost reevaluations.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Analyze COGS, manufacturing, inventory, material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Monitor inventory transactions, WIP accruals, inventory receipts, reclasses, scrap, freight, and usage adjustments.
• Run and review production, purchase price, yield, rework, floor stock, scrap, and inventory reports.
• Collaborate with Operations and manufacturing personnel to control costs, collect data, and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience, including 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Required experience with standard costing.
• Strong prioritization, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Computer skills, including Excel, are required.
• English at an advanced level is required.

• Experience with Great Plains or Dynamics.
