Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States
Annual salary: $110,000–$140,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do
- Perform and review revenue accounting under ASC 606 and company policies.
- Analyze complex contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment for products, pricing models, service contracts, warranty obligations, FOB destination terms, and military contract deferrals.
- Monitor deferred revenue and backlog balances, prepare reconciliations and reporting, and provide insights for forecasting and planning.
- Partner with Sales, FP&A, Legal, Operations, and IT on contracts, revenue implications, system upgrades, and implementations.
- Support internal and external audits, maintain SOX compliance, and strengthen revenue-related internal controls.
- Prepare journal entries, revenue schedules, quarterly sales journal and revenue account audits, external reporting, and global price/volume analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in revenue accounting.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, along with revenue and backlog reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Experience in a global organization with multi-currency transactions and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based revenue models.
