Buyer/Planner I

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, United States — on-site at the corporate headquarters

What you will do

• Manage assigned items and suppliers to optimize inventory turns, customer service, availability, and slow or obsolete inventory.
• Use replenishment methods, safety stock, Kanban lot sizes, inventory hedges, and new product introduction support to maintain material availability.
• Maintain planning databases and systems, including MRP, Kanban, BPCS, CIC, BPA, wait-work sheets, and lead-time data.
• Expedite supplier orders and logistics, resolve quality, delivery, quantity, and invoicing discrepancies, and report supplier performance.
• Identify lead-time suppression, lean process improvements, waste reduction, and cost-down opportunities.
• Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Regional Sourcing Managers, Logistics, suppliers, and overseas stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, material control, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the future.
• Willingness to make infrequent overnight travel and occasionally communicate with overseas suppliers or team members during evenings or weekends.

• Bachelor's degree.
