Senior Supply Chain Planner/Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site at the Mt Prospect, Illinois facility, United States

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive short- and long-term materials planning with suppliers, including supplier stocking strategies and VMI programs.
• Issue supplier purchase orders and manage production schedules and deliveries to support plant and customer needs.
• Support global S&OP planning, inventory management, and plant physical inventory activities.
• Build supplier partnerships, collaborate with Global Procurement on pricing tables, and maintain accurate master data.
• Lead projects focused on planning optimization, inventory reduction, service improvement, root cause analysis, product transitions, and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, or purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of supply and demand planning, MRP, ERP concepts, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proactive and collaborative working style with project management abilities.

Nice to have

• APICS, CPM, or equivalent certification.
