Buyer/Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, Monday–Friday

What you will do

• Procure and plan materials, products, and services across assigned categories to support manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain inventory levels, material flow, and material availability.
• Monitor and update purchase orders, including pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Scheduling, Accounting, Receiving, and Sourcing to resolve supplier and delivery issues.
• Manage supplier relationships and escalate shortages or risks affecting customer shipments.
• Use ERP systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to forecast materials, track KPIs, support Kanban systems, and contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of material purchasing experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong organization, time management, analytical, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience with ERP systems and inventory data.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; employment eligibility, background checks, and pre-employment testing are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
• CPM or APICS membership.
