Production Planner I (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Wire - Menomonee Valley, Milwaukee, WI; fully onsite

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and monitor production schedules aligned with customer service, delivery requirements, inventory levels, and production efficiency.
• Prepare, monitor, and communicate capacity reports for commercial and plant managers.
• Coordinate with commercial, logistics, operations, finance, and other schedulers on delivery issues and schedule changes.
• Monitor and disposition aged or out-of-specification inventory, including billet, coil, and cut-to-length requirements.
• Identify supply constraints and communicate resolution plans.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives and respond to off-hour schedule change requests from operations leadership.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of related supply chain or operations experience.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate across plant operations, commercial, logistics, scheduling, and accounting.
• Ability to influence results without direct authority and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management.
• APICS CPIM or CPSM certification.
• ERP planning or scheduling module experience.
• Six Sigma or Lean training, reporting-writing experience, and negotiating skills.
