Service & Warranty Technician I (HVAC)

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; regular travel of up to 90% required

Pay range: $25.29–$37.94 per hour

What you will do

• Start up, service, and maintain specialized commercial HVAC systems.
• Review work orders, manuals, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan installation and repair work.
• Inspect installation sites and verify that electrical wiring, conduit, switches, and circuit breakers meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, mechanical, and electronic equipment and repair or replace defective components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, laptops, and standard test instruments for service and reporting.
• Document service calls and start-ups, including product performance and improvement suggestions, and consult engineering personnel on unusual issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, and repair-versus-replacement decisions.
• Willingness and ability to travel 90% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, prioritization, multitasking, analytical problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours.

Nice to have

• Trade school education or relevant certifications.
• Knowledge of HVAC industry products and equipment.
