Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer (OT)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; onsite with approximately 50% travel to hirify.global manufacturing sites across the U.S.

Salary: $90,900–$170,100 annually for Zone A; $83,400–$155,900 annually for Zone B; $75,800–$141,700 annually for Zone C. The role is also eligible for participation in incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering activities across the full lifecycle of medium- to large-scale manufacturing capital and automation projects.
• Define project scope, requirements, estimates, schedules, designs, procurement plans, and construction documentation.
• Manage vendors, outside engineering firms, construction contractors, project finances, and technical resources.
• Configure, test, commission, start up, validate, and provide operational support for electrical and control systems.
• Troubleshoot complex systems using equipment manuals, P&IDs, schematics, drawings, and technical standards.
• Drive manufacturing equipment improvements, new product development, project safety, and standard practices while mentoring peers.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, such as a BSEE or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing controls.
• Strong experience with electrical and instrumentation controls, industrial power distribution, and Rockwell control systems and devices.
• Working knowledge of NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, and NFPA standards, plus industrial Ethernet, VLANs, switches, firewalls, and secure control-system segmentation.
• Working knowledge of SCADA, MES, Historian, and SQL data collection systems, with the ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, and temperature variations, and to travel approximately 50% across U.S. sites.
