Facilities Maintenance (Manufacturing)

Pay range: $23.14–$31.51 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Inspect facility infrastructure, building systems, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot or repair lighting, doors, plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, and general facility equipment.
• Complete basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and general building maintenance work.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs while identifying unsafe conditions and recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers, including scheduling access and maintaining contractor documentation.
• Support waste management, recycling, energy and water conservation, environmental compliance, and accurate maintenance records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, general facility repairs, and basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical work.
• Experience operating forklifts in an industrial environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education in Facilities Maintenance, Building Operations, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
• Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented when working with employees, contractors, and third parties.
