Electronics Technician

Salary: $25.00–$32.00 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls, and other assemblies using mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Install, test, and perform final inspection of completed electronic assemblies.
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, wiring, and discrete circuits for production and aftermarket support.
• Participate in wiring diagram and interconnect drawing reviews.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure correct installation and testing.
• Complete production and quality documentation, inspect work, and train others on moderately complex assembly tasks.

Requirements

• Technical certificate or diploma in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related program, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar technician role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, ladder logic, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Experience troubleshooting wiring and circuits containing relays, diodes, transistors, capacitors, resistors, and DC battery chargers.
• Knowledge of multimeters and power supplies, along with basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, independent judgment, teamwork, multitasking, and commitment to safety.
