Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; based at the Alpharetta site with approximately 50% travel across U.S. manufacturing sites

Salary: $90,900–$170,100 in Zone A; $83,400–$155,900 in Zone B; $75,800–$141,700 in Zone C. The role is also eligible for participation in incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering for capital projects from conceptual design and feasibility through procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, and validation.
• Manage project scope, schedules, estimates, contracts, purchase orders, spending, and financial objectives.
• Support system startup and operational checkout, including configuration, wiring, calibration, and power testing.
• Design and implement manufacturing equipment, controls, building installations, line extensions, product improvements, and new product development projects.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical, instrumentation, controls, automation, and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate engineering firms, equipment vendors, construction contractors, plant teams, and corporate stakeholders while delivering project safety objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• 5–8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing controls, preferably in CPG, food, or discrete manufacturing.
• Strong experience with electrical and instrumentation controls, industrial power distribution, and Rockwell control systems and devices.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, NFPA, industrial Ethernet, VLANs, switches, firewalls, and secure control-system segmentation.
• Working knowledge of SCADA, MES, historian, SQL, P&IDs, electrical drawings, and multidisciplinary design.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, and temperature variations; the role is based onsite in Alpharetta and requires approximately 50% U.S. travel.
