AWS Architect (GenAI)

Location: Hybrid role based near Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona. Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a 180-mile radius of one of these hubs and work both from home and in the office.

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Define and evolve the architecture of the Hercules Cloud Contact Center platform and its AI-enabled capabilities.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS solutions across APIs, event-driven workflows, integrations, data flows, security, observability, and reliability.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and develop reusable architecture patterns and reference implementations.
• Architect GenAI-powered actionable insights and AI-assisted agent coaching with safe and cost-aware LLM usage.
• Apply enterprise architecture standards, provide technical governance, and guide solution quality across environments.
• Partner with product, engineering, business, data engineering, and architecture teams while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience delivering AWS cloud solutions with architectural accountability.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecFinOps, SRE, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Proficiency with Java, Python, React, and AWS services including Lambda, ECS/EKS, ROSA, VPC, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Glue.
• Experience with REST APIs, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, asynchronous patterns, AWS Well-Architected Framework, security, and data governance.
• Experience integrating LLMs and GenAI, including RAG, tool or function calling, structured outputs, evaluation, hallucination reduction, and feedback loops.
• Applicants must already be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S.; U.S. work authorization sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with contact center platforms, especially Amazon Connect.
