Quality Inspector (APU 1 C)

Location: Onsite at 600 Deerfield Pkwy, Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States. Full-time role on 12-hour rotating shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM, including every other weekend.

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager in coordinating quality objectives and improving operating system effectiveness.
• Inspect, test, and measure materials, products, and work using rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, force gauges, CMM, and optical gaging machines.
• Review drawings, specifications, manuals, samples, and test data to determine inspection procedures and results.
• Review and approve lot documentation in accordance with procedures and good documentation practices.
• Identify and reject nonconforming products, mark acceptance or rejection status, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare nonconformance, rework instruction, and deviation reports.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a quality-related role preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to use gauges, inspection fixtures, and leak testing equipment.
• Ability to use productivity tools such as Statistical Process Control.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for approximately 75% of the shift.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
