What you will do
- Coordinate confined-water training and introductory dives for non-certified guests and crew.
- Lead open-water dives, snorkelling activities, and other water-based excursions for appropriately certified participants.
- Maintain and troubleshoot diving, snorkelling, boat, compressor, and air-storage equipment, including logs and monthly stocktakes.
- Conduct snorkel rescue training for new crew members and support guest health and safety throughout excursions.
- Assist with loading and disembarking ship tenders, pre-excursion risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety briefings.
- Support vessel turnaround and the overall cruise experience while maintaining company standards of conduct, discipline, and presentation.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience as a PADI Dive Instructor.
- Experience in marine environments and remote locations.
- First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking, customer service, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, work under pressure, and maintain guest confidence and safety.
- Valid passport required.
Nice to have
- Degree in Natural Sciences or another relevant field.
- Strong boat-handling experience and a manual driver’s licence.
- Guiding experience.
- Coxswain’s Certificate Grade 1 and remote first aid experience.
