What you will do

• Manage the galley efficiently and deliver meals according to the menu plan.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, safety, and consistency for guests and crew.
• Apply food-cost and portion-control practices.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen or galley.
• Work safely and collaboratively in a small onboard environment.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid passport.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to commit to rosters of up to six weeks for domestic voyages and up to eight weeks for international voyages.

• AMSA-endorsed Certificate of Safety Training.
• Crowd Control and Crisis Management certification.
• AMSA Medical and Marine Cook Certificate.
• Australian Seafarers Book or an equivalent discharge book from another country.
