Chef de Partie

Location: Coles Bay, Australia

Employment: Full-time onsite; casual positions may also be available. Staff accommodation and meals package available.

What you will do

• Prepare general and specialised dishes, including cooking, baking, pastry, and butchery duties.
• Work across The Bay Restaurant and Richardson’s Bistro, using local produce and fresh seafood.
• Maintain food preparation areas and equipment to high hygiene standards.
• Manage portioning and stock control under the direction of the Head or Sous Chef.
• Supervise and train other kitchen staff while supporting high-volume service.
• Deliver tailored dining experiences and responsive customer service.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in kitchen operations, restaurants, and functions catering.
• Experience with modern Australian cooking and contemporary dish presentation.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Computer literacy, particularly with common office applications.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of covers.
• Formal qualifications in commercial cookery and a completed Do Food Safely Certificate.
