Salary: $65,000–$103,000+ annually, based on prior experience and certification requirements, with additional opportunities to earn up to $7,000 annually in performance-based pay.

What you will do

• Create, adapt, internalize, and prepare lesson plans aligned with the academic curriculum.
• Use student data to teach academic skills to mastery and adjust instruction.
• Build supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Establish classroom routines and apply effective classroom management techniques.
• Support diagnostic and progress-monitoring assessments and maintain student performance trackers.
• Participate in grade-level collaboration, meetings, school events, and educational programs.

Requirements

• Track record of success and exceptional student achievement in the classroom.
• Subject matter expertise and demonstrated commitment to students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• Valid New Jersey teaching certification, or eligibility through the stated GPA and Praxis requirements.
• For graduates after September 2016: a conferred bachelor’s or master’s degree GPA of at least 3.0, or a GPA between 2.75 and 3.0 with all required Praxis exams passed with a 10% superscore.
• For graduates before September 2016: a conferred bachelor’s or master’s degree GPA of at least 2.75.
