QA/QC Engineer (Construction)

What you will do

• Perform and coordinate field inspections to verify installation quality across architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and approved submittals to plan inspections and verify compliance.
• Identify, document, track, and help resolve quality deficiencies with project teams and trade partners.
• Maintain inspection records, reports, checklists, deficiency logs, and turnover documentation.
• Verify system readiness for testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field teams, QA/QC leadership, and trade partners on quality requirements and corrective actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction management, or construction science is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction, QA/QC, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience on mission-critical projects in commissioning, QA/QC, superintendent, or MEP coordination roles.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, approved submittals, installation methods, sequencing, and applicable construction codes.
• Familiarity with commissioning, system startup, testing, turnover documentation, document control, deficiency tracking, and inspection reporting systems.
• Ability to provide guidance to QA/QC technicians and coordinate inspection schedules and quality verification activities.
