Mechanical Superintendent (Traveling)

What you will do

• Coordinate mechanical construction activities, look-ahead schedules, manpower forecasts, and installation sequences.
• Direct craft foremen and mechanical subcontractors while coordinating daily work with other trades.
• Supervise installation checks for HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC units, hydronic systems, process piping, plumbing, and utilities.
• Execute QA/QC checklists, inspections, turnover documentation, and installation readiness reviews.
• Support commissioning preparation, integrated systems testing, and mechanical sign-off activities.
• Resolve field issues with senior superintendents, engineers, and planning teams while enforcing safety, reliability, redundancy, and uptime requirements.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of mechanical construction experience.
• Required experience in life science, food and beverage, or mission-critical/data center environments.
• Experience supervising mechanical subcontractors and foremen.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and utility system installations.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures, including hot work, confined space, and equipment operation protocols.

Nice to have

• QA/QC experience, including inspection readiness and installation verification.
• OSHA 30 certification.
