Lead Estimator (K-14 Education, DSA)

What you will do

• Lead one or more estimates, budgets, and pursuits while supporting additional estimating efforts.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, material pricing, conceptual estimates, scope sheets, and general conditions and requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, BIM models, subcontractor estimates, prequalification materials, and bid scopes.
• Manage bidder lists, bid schedules, estimate checklists, bid-day compilation, fee strategies, and value engineering/value management logs.
• Maintain historical cost data, support post-bid buyouts, and assist jobsite and operations staff with estimating.
• Mentor, train, and develop estimating staff, interns, and interim project engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with K-14 education projects and DSA is required.
• At least 3 years of estimating or related experience.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and BIM models.
• Ability to make accurate judgments, calculate risks, and apply current construction costs and principles.
• Proficiency with estimating tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or similar software.
