Director, Protective Intelligence & Executive Protection

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Compensation: $140,980–$163,240 annually

What you will do

• Build and mature enterprise protective intelligence, executive protection, travel security, and event security programs across North America.
• Establish threat-monitoring capabilities and provide intelligence assessments, risk ratings, escalation guidance, and briefings to executive leadership.
• Develop executive protection strategies covering risk assessments, travel, protective advances, public appearances, high-profile engagements, and third-party services.
• Lead domestic and international travel security, including risk assessments, traveler communications, emergency assistance, and intelligence platforms.
• Manage event security planning, venue and threat assessments, executive and VIP protection, and post-event reviews.
• Partner with executive leadership, EHSS, Marketing, Public Relations, Legal, Human Resources, Public Policy, Corporate Communications, law enforcement, and external security providers.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in protective intelligence, executive protection, enterprise security, corporate security, law enforcement, federal security, military special operations, or critical infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing enterprise security or protective intelligence programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Intelligence Studies, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience developing protective intelligence, executive protection, travel risk, or event security programs and conducting executive threat assessments.
• Experience managing third-party security providers, communicating with executives, and handling confidential information with discretion.
• Work location: Denver, Colorado, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree such as an MBA, MPA, or MS in Security Management.
• ASIS Certified Protection Professional, Certified Threat Manager, or FEMA Incident Command System training.
• Experience supporting executives at a Fortune 500 company, technology company, hyperscale cloud provider, data center operator, or critical infrastructure organization.
• Experience with AlertMedia, Dataminr, Everbridge, Ontic, or similar threat-monitoring platforms.
