Managing Director, Security Intelligence (Physical Security): Building and leading a global security intelligence and threat assessment function to protect people, assets, operations, and reputation with an accent on geopolitical analysis, protective intelligence, investigations, and threat management. Focus on developing actionable intelligence products, supporting executive protection and crisis response, and translating complex threats into business and investment insights.

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $275,000–$300,000, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and lead a global intelligence and threat assessment function.
  • Develop intelligence strategies, operating procedures, collection protocols, analytical frameworks, reporting, dissemination, and escalation processes.
  • Monitor and assess geopolitical, criminal, terrorism, civil unrest, insider, reputational, targeted violence, sanctions, and supply chain risks.
  • Provide strategic intelligence assessments to executive leadership, investment stakeholders, portfolio companies, and security teams.
  • Support executive protection, travel risk intelligence, event security, behavioral threat assessment, crisis response, and business continuity.
  • Build relationships with law enforcement, intelligence community partners, government agencies, industry groups, and external providers while managing security intelligence vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Homeland Security, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in the intelligence community, national security, law enforcement, military, or corporate security.
  • Demonstrated experience within the United States Intelligence Community (USCI).
  • Experience operating at the intersection of policy, security, and commercial decision-making.
  • Expertise converting complex intelligence into clear business and investment insights and delivering briefings to senior decision-makers.
  • Experience with intelligence products, threat assessments, investigations, due diligence, open-source intelligence tools, alerting platforms, social media monitoring, crime data, and incident management systems.

  • Established relationships with law enforcement, intelligence community partners, and government agencies.
  • Industry certifications or professional credentials in intelligence, security, or investigations.
