Microsoft Dynamics 365 Senior Finance Functional Lead (Dynamics 365)

Location: Remote within the United States, with approximately 20% travel to an Apogee facility and headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead the design and configuration of finance processes in Dynamics 365 Finance, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and financial close.
• Define and maintain the chart of accounts and financial dimension strategy to support reporting, operations, management needs, and scalability.
• Serve as the finance lead during the Dynamics 365 Finance implementation and direct collaboration with system integrators.
• Align financial reporting, statements, operational reports, KPIs, and Dynamics data with Microsoft Power BI and analytics platforms.
• Govern finance-related configurations and enhancements while balancing standard Dynamics functionality with business requirements.
• Partner with the CFO, finance, accounting, IT, enterprise architecture, data, analytics, and implementation teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience collaborating with accounting and finance teams and configuring Dynamics 365 finance modules.
• Deep understanding of financial processes, controls, reporting, close cycles, chart of accounts, and financial dimensions.
• Ability to lead cross-functional decision-making across Finance and IT.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel approximately 20% to Apogee facilities and headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Dynamics 365 implementation partners or consulting firms.
• Familiarity with Azure, integrations, and data platforms.
• Experience with financial reporting tools, including Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience supporting audit, compliance, and SOX requirements within ERP systems.
