Senior Superintendent (Core and Shell)

Location: New York, NY; full-time onsite role

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise construction projects and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and direct-hire work through successful completion.
• Maintain project schedules, coordinate planning and procurement, and control materials, tools, costs, and documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and verify subcontractor certificates of insurance.
• Set quality standards, review drawings, specifications, and submittals, and manage punchlists.
• Lead subcontractor meetings, pre-job conferences, start-up testing, turnover, and final close-out with the owner.
• Prepare time sheets, work orders, daily reports, invoice approvals, and other required project documentation.

Requirements

• Engineering, construction management, or architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Superintendent with extensive supervisory-level field construction experience.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor certification, or commitment to obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active certification.
• Working knowledge of all construction crafts and specifications, with prior experience as a foreman, journeyman, or project engineer.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency; ability to travel and supervise multiple projects across a large geographic area.
