Director, Foundry Customer Engineering

Location: Daily onsite presence at the San Jose headquarters, California, United States, with an average of less than 10% domestic and international travel.

Base pay range: $219,000–$351,000 USD per year, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Manage Samsung Foundry customer programs across multiple process technologies.
• Serve as the primary technical account interface between customers and Samsung functional teams.
• Support internal account strategy and coordinate business and engineering execution.
• Drive customer satisfaction by responding to account actions and developing technical and cost-effective solutions.
• Partner with engineering and business groups to deliver new product introduction activities according to customer schedules and technical requirements.
• Drive manufacturing teams toward production milestones and company business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related physical science with 20+ years of experience; or a master’s degree with 18+ years; or a PhD with 15+ years of industry experience.
• Recent experience in semiconductor process, product, or device engineering.
• Strong customer orientation with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business, engineering, manufacturing, and customer stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and related tools.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Jose headquarters and travel domestically and internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with a major semiconductor foundry or integrated device manufacturer.
• Previous project management experience.
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin.
