Structural Project Engineer

Location: On-site in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Travel is less than 20%.

What you will do

• Manage engineering projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Lead structural analysis and design using wood, mass timber, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, and masonry.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing with firm leadership.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, and contractors throughout design and construction.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for technical accuracy and quality.
• Support construction administration through site visits, RFIs, submittal reviews, and field observations while mentoring mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including project management responsibility.
• Ability to lead project teams, mentor staff, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong communication, prioritization, deadline management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Detailed knowledge of design software such as Revit and STAAD.
