Principal Systems Engineer

Salary: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Linux clusters for development and execution environments.
• Support users, clarify requirements, and improve the efficiency and productivity of technical systems.
• Propose and implement tools and technologies in consultation with users.
• Develop technical plans, coordinate test plans and procedures, and verify test results.
• Collaborate with system architects, developers, testers, and engineers on thread block diagrams, sequence diagrams, and related system artifacts.
• Prepare technical documentation and support technical reviews aligned with systems engineering processes and standards.

Requirements

• Fifteen years of experience in technical roles supporting government or industry customers.
• Ten years of systems engineering experience supporting the development and fielding of large-scale systems.
• Experience with system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution.
• Three years of experience with an agency or high-performance computing development program.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
