Innovation & AI Product Incubation Lead

Location: Columbia, MD, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday.

Salary: $80,336.75–$140,851.54 per year, adjusted based on experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, budgets, and responsibilities.

What you will do

• Lead discovery through user research, product vision definition, problem validation, and opportunity assessment.
• Run design-thinking workshops, formulate product hypotheses, and validate desirability, feasibility, and viability.
• Define AI use cases, data requirements, experimentation strategies, prototypes, POCs, and Minimum Marketable Products.
• Create product requirements documents, user stories, priorities, and success metrics in partnership with UX, architecture, and engineering.
• Define and lead pilots, measure adoption and business outcomes, and refine solutions based on learning.
• Recommend transition of validated initiatives into Product Engineering, support knowledge transfer and rollout, and remain engaged through delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience, preferably including supervisory experience and progressive responsibility.
• Experience leading Innovation & AI products and building MVPs.
• Experience with UX research, complex problem-solving, strategic thinking, negotiation, delegation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external customers and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
