AI Engineer

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; or Sunnyvale, CA. U.S. export-control eligibility is required: applicants must qualify as a U.S. person, be eligible to access the information without export authorization, or be eligible and reasonably likely to obtain authorization.

Salary: $182,000–$242,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive the roadmap for organizing, comparing, and understanding machine-learning experiment runs.
• Improve visualization and monitoring of training runs, including loss curves, system metrics, evaluations, and anomalies across web and mobile.
• Make model evaluations a core part of experiment tracking by enabling comparison across runs, training steps, and individual data rows.
• Design scalable analysis experiences for experiment histories containing hundreds or thousands of runs, including AI-assisted analysis.
• Conduct user research with frontier-lab researchers and individual practitioners, translating findings into product decisions.
• Own product execution from problem definition through launch and iteration, using usage data and customer feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product management experience with technical products for developer or researcher audiences.
• Hands-on experience training machine-learning models or working closely with ML researchers.
• Strong understanding of data visualization and product design for charts, dashboards, and comparison views.
• Technical fluency sufficient to read training scripts, discuss evaluation methodology, and participate in architecture discussions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineering, design, and go-to-market stakeholders.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with experiment tracking tools, especially W&B.
• Experience with enterprise ML platforms or fine-tuning services such as SageMaker, Vertex, Databricks, Together, or Fireworks.
• Public technical writing about machine learning, including papers, conference talks, or blog posts.
• Experience conducting user research or engaging with developer communities.
