TL;DR

What you will do

  • Provide HSE leadership across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Develop and continuously improve HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Translate organisational priorities into practical HSE plans and oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections, and critical risk controls.
  • Lead serious incident investigations, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Build leadership capability through coaching, training, and clear accountability for HSE outcomes.
  • Monitor regional HSE performance and partner with APAC and global stakeholders on consistent standards, including contractor management and high-risk work controls.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior HSE role across multi-site operations in Australia; New Zealand experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working independently with end-to-end accountability and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Relevant qualification in Health, Safety, or Environmental Management, or equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH Diploma, Australian WHS qualification, or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with New Zealand legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or Australian WHS qualification.
