Managing Consultant - E&U - Electricity Networks

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office or client-site attendance a minimum of 2 days per week, and up to 5 days per week on client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Lead asset management, digital, and regulation consulting teams serving energy and utilities clients.
• Develop and deliver solutions for electricity and gas network planning, operations, asset strategies, policies, and standards.
• Help clients balance customer, regulatory, shareholder, environmental, and technical priorities.
• Build senior client relationships and create new business opportunities through consulting expertise and networks.
• Translate complex client challenges into structured requirements through execution, adoption, and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary projects with strong delivery assurance, governance, and stakeholder management.

Requirements

• Track record of selling and delivering professional consulting services and expanding senior client relationships.
• Practical experience in asset-intensive organisations, regulated utilities, and UK energy infrastructure.
• Technical understanding of electricity or gas network asset planning or operation, transmission or distribution, asset health, utilisation, risk, and resilience.
• Understanding of energy price controls, the RIIO framework, NESO, DSO, Net Zero drivers, and regulatory incentives.
• Experience leading substantial multidisciplinary or economic projects and managing fast-paced, complex teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, relationship-building, and business development skills.
