What you will do
- Deliver independent engineering advisory services for the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office and Energy Dominance Financing program.
- Conduct technical due diligence on engineering design, technology readiness, construction feasibility, operational assumptions, and project interfaces.
- Analyze delivery risks, validate assumptions and mitigations, and support credit evaluation and lifecycle monitoring.
- Prepare due diligence plans, information request logs, milestone trackers, technical summaries, and lender-ready reports.
- Support conditions precedent reviews, disbursement readiness, draw-package checks, construction monitoring, and certification activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project-controls stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy-infrastructure advisory experience.
- Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, data-room review, information-request tracking, technical reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, documentation discipline, issue escalation, and ability to translate technical evidence into financing and risk implications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
Nice to have
- PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP certification.
- Experience with borrower or contractor interviews, site observations, risk-register updates, CP evidence reviews, and Independent Engineer reports.
