Asset Management Consultant (Oil and Gas)

Location: Remote within the United States with on-site meetings and project-site visits expected; Washington, DC and nationwide CONUS project support

What you will do

• Provide independent engineering advisory support for DOE Energy Dominance Financing technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
• Review asset strategies, lifecycle performance, maintenance programs, capital reinvestment plans, and investment priorities.
• Evaluate project documentation, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, risks, mitigations, conditions precedent, and disbursement readiness.
• Prepare asset management plans, reliability strategies, risk-based prioritization, performance improvement plans, and lender-ready reports.
• Participate in data room reviews, borrower and contractor interviews, site observations, monitoring meetings, risk register updates, and draw package checks.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
• Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, asset strategy, lifecycle optimization, maintenance programs, and investment prioritization.
• Strong report writing, Excel-based analysis, data room review, information request tracking, stakeholder coordination, and presentation skills.
• Technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, attention to detail, defensible documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP certification.
• Experience supporting DOE, LPO, credit, construction monitoring, completion certification, or project finance stakeholders.
