Store Designer (Luxury Retail)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Travel up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Support the design and execution of new stores, renovations, relocations, and luxury shop-in-shop projects across domestic and international markets.
• Develop store layouts, feasibility studies, space plans, 2D CAD plans, elevations, millwork details, material specifications, 3D renderings, and presentation materials.
• Coordinate design deliverables with architects, consultants, vendors, Facilities, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations.
• Review drawings, submittals, samples, finish materials, prototypes, and field conditions for compliance with design standards.
• Support construction administration, project schedules, milestone tracking, store walks, punch lists, and project turnover.
• Maintain store design standards, prototype documentation, project records, digital files, and departmental archives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in retail store design, interior architecture, or a related design discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, materials, millwork detailing, and retail fixture design.
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the New York office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with luxury retail, hospitality, or high-end commercial environments.
• Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software.
