Field Service Technician I - Walmart - Pilesgrove, NJ

Pay rate: $24.50–$25.50 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, evaluations, preventative maintenance, retrofits, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Support high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery, fueling systems, H2 pads, dispensers, and compressors.
• Provide emergency customer support and communicate with customer personnel, hydrogen suppliers, and regional service representatives.
• Order parts and tools, manage inventory, and complete work orders, incident reports, service logs, and site documentation.
• Follow field safety procedures, travel as required, and respond to off-shift service needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience; formal training may substitute for direct experience.
• Valid driver license, clean driving record, ability to safely operate a vehicle, and ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance.
• General mechanical aptitude, computer and software systems skills, and ability to use tools, a multimeter, and standard service procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, time management, reliability, independent work, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow safety standards and complete required onboarding, customer-site, and technical training.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications.
• Experience with fuel cell tools; hirify.global provides specific fuel cell tools, while the technician supplies a standard set of tools.
