Technician, Facility Services, Irrigation

Location: Onsite at 135 NE Terry Ln, Grants Pass, Oregon, United States

Hourly wage: $21.00–$40.00, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, main and lateral lines, drip lines, and bubblers.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles for pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation.
• Order irrigation supplies, spare parts, and equipment, and obtain contractor quotes when needed.
• Recommend and help prioritize system and equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Respond to work orders, provide operational assistance, and maintain records, logs, and documentation using phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Perform seasonal irrigation maintenance, including winterization and spring startup, while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of landscaping or irrigation experience, including plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver's license held for at least 3 years, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight hours and weekends.
• Minimum qualification: 1 year's experience with material handling equipment or a related area, or 2 years of Walmart store experience.

Nice to have

• Relevant irrigation, landscaping, equipment operation, or safety certifications.
• Experience interpreting design drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Experience with water conservation practices.
• Spanish speaking and comprehension skills.
• State or local licensing where required.
