MTC Production Technician II

Location: Reading, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Perform annealing, bonding, and stacking operations for precision magnetic laminations.
• Operate production equipment, control panels, automated systems, and defined manufacturing recipes.
• Inspect magnetic stacks using optical comparators, basic CMM functions, and magnetic testing equipment.
• Monitor processes, report abnormalities and deviations, and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause identification.
• Support process development, data collection, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and traceability while following safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a technology-related field is preferred.
• Two to four years of related technical or manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of annealing, bonding, and stacking processes for magnetic laminations.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, control systems, automated processes, measurement equipment, and production documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, work independently and collaboratively, and escalate non-routine issues appropriately.

Nice to have

• Experience in precision manufacturing, metallurgy, laboratory operations, or related technical environments.
• Familiarity with magnetic materials, laminations, and related manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
