CMM Technician

Location: Onsite in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $28.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain coordinate measuring machine programs using PC-DMIS or FARO CAM2.
• Perform dimensional inspections on castings and metal and plastic components.
• Measure parts with verniers, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, and optical or digital comparators.
• Conduct visual inspections and Positive Material Identification when required.
• Document inspection results and review documentation for compliance with standards.
• Verify operator measurements and help provide appropriate inspection tools to the shop floor.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience as a CMM Inspector or Programmer.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably using PC-DMIS.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency in geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
• Good interpersonal skills when working with team members, supervisors, and engineers.
