CMM Technician (Metrology)

Salary: $28.00-$37.00 hourly

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS or FARO CAM2 software.
• Conduct dimensional inspections on castings and other metal and plastic materials.
• Perform visual inspections, Positive Material Identification (PMI), and documentation reviews.
• Measure parts using verniers, micrometers, thread gages, and optical/digital comparators.
• Document inspection results and verify operator measurements to provide proper tools to the shop floor.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a CMM Inspector/Programmer, preferably using PC-DMIS.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Shrewsbury, MA.
