TL;DR
Advanced Technology CMM Programmer (Manufacturing): Developing and executing CMM-based inspection programs and quality systems for compressor products across new product introduction, pilot builds, and production readiness with an accent on metrology, GD&T, and data-driven capability analysis. Focus on validating inspection methods, conducting gage R&R and capability studies, and implementing new gaging technologies for machining and assembly processes.
Location: Fully onsite in Sidney, Ohio, USA; not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

What you will do
- Perform part inspections using CMMs and related metrology equipment, including on-machine programming and 3D CAD-based virtual programming.
- Measure new product development hardware and collect data across multiple gaging systems.
- Install and qualify quality systems, conduct capability studies and gage R&R for assembly and machining processes.
- Develop, validate, and maintain inspection methods, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Implement and train personnel on new inspection systems and provide technical training.
- Support continuous improvement projects while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
- Ability and aptitude to learn CMM programming, with strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and general understanding of GD&T.
- Theoretical and practical understanding of SPC and experience making data-driven decisions.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Nice to have
- Five to seven years of manufacturing or quality experience.
- Formal GD&T or CMM training and knowledge of datum and GD&T standards.
- Experience with PC-DMIS/MODUS CMM programming.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, machining, and assembly processes.
- Strong collaboration skills across organizational levels.
