Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager

Location: Orange City, Florida, United States — store-based full-time position

What you will do

• Manage the eyeglass department, including operating costs, budgets, resources, efficiency, and compliance.
• Drive sales, profit, performance, merchandising, pricing promotions, and customer service goals.
• Supervise, motivate, and coach Opticians, CL Sales associates, and, where applicable, reception staff.
• Monitor quality standards and create action plans for operational improvement.
• Support the General Manager with staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, and retention.
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Maintain an optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Leadership, coaching, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Understanding of store operations and the ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to create, analyze, and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE certification.
