Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager

What you will do

• Drive and monitor store profit, sales, performance goals, operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company standards.
• Supervise, motivate, and coach Opticians, customer-facing sales associates, and other store staff.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, retention, and development of associates.
• Ensure high customer-service and quality standards, including merchandising, promotions, and pricing execution.
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Optical license required as mandated by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build effective associate relationships.
• Strong communication, organization, customer-service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE certification.
