Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Oakland, California, United States; onsite at the Oakland facility

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage and interpret the MRP workbench and planning data to create and monitor discrete jobs for assigned product families.
• Plan, schedule, and release production orders based on material requirements, departmental constraints, and material availability.
• Evaluate work-center capacity and optimize production schedules with manufacturing input.
• Review production orders with missing components and resolve material issues with Procurement and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate production start and completion dates and provide updates in production planning SQDC meetings.
• Support inventory management and accurate forecasting of future demand while collaborating across departments.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of material and demand planning.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and their practical application.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and the ability to run ad hoc reports and interpret datasets.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information to cross-functional audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
