Workers Compensation Claims Representative

Location: Lake Elmo, Minnesota, United States; hybrid work-from-home flexibility may be available after initial in-person training. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $50,000–$81,500 annually, plus bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Investigate claims, assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, analyze legal liability, and pay or deny losses.
• Review medical bills, authorize payments, and ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
• Gather information from employers, employees, hospitals, doctors, attorneys, agents, policyholders, and injured workers.
• Resolve claims and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.
• Review policies, endorsements, and forms to develop insurance coverage knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct workers’ compensation claims-handling experience with an insurance carrier.
• Familiarity with a broad range of medical terminology.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and interpret data, multitask, make independent decisions, and resolve complex issues.
• Interest in developing product knowledge through approved educational programs.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
