Field Layout Engineer

What you will do

• Establish and verify site control, benchmarks, and reference points.
• Perform high-accuracy construction layout for ground-up and interior projects.
• Capture existing conditions using robotic total stations, drones, 3D laser scanning, and ground-penetrating radar.
• Execute robotic layout operations and back-check work completed by self-perform teams and trade partners.
• Maintain field documentation, as-builts, and QA/QC records.
• Support BIM/VDC coordination and perform additional field engineering tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, surveying, or a related field, or equivalent related field experience.
• Strong foundation in surveying principles, site control, mathematics, and precision measurement.
• Experience with construction layout or field engineering and the ability to interpret plans, models, and layout data.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit capability is preferred.
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or working toward licensure.
• Experience with layout robotics, reality capture workflows, BIM/VDC coordination, and an FAA Part 107 drone license or ability to obtain one.
