Senior Research Analyst (Credit)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; onsite

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Independently research credit fundamentals and evaluate investment opportunities across multiple non-financial sectors.
• Analyze financial statements, business risk, market technicals, and relative value to produce corporate bond investment recommendations.
• Develop buy, sell, and hold recommendations with senior analysts and Portfolio Managers.
• Perform investment strategy analysis across industrial sectors.
• Build industry frameworks and comprehensive credit reviews for Portfolio Management presentations.
• Collaborate with Research and Portfolio Management on macroeconomic factors and broad market dynamics.

Requirements

• At least seven years of corporate credit research experience with exposure to multiple non-financial industries.
• Experience with fixed income markets and formal credit training is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet applications, including Excel, and proficiency with Bloomberg and PowerPoint.
• Ability to build relationships with sell-side sector analysts, corporate management teams, and rating agencies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Completion of or progress toward the CFA designation.
