Technical Training Lead (Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of Technical Trainers, including capability, performance, and resource planning.
• Oversee the design, delivery, and governance of technical training programmes across product lines and competency levels.
• Maintain training materials in multiple formats and languages and coordinate Subject Matter Experts for specialist delivery.
• Drive the use of eLearning, video-based learning, VR, and other modern learning technologies.
• Monitor training effectiveness, analyse skills gaps, manage LMS administration and reporting, and improve learning outcomes.
• Partner with Sales, Service, Product Development, L&D, and external providers on product launches, customer training, onboarding, and capability projects.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical training, L&D, instructional design, or capability development teams.
• Experience designing and delivering technical training in a complex or engineering-based environment.
• Competence with LMS platforms, eLearning materials, training analytics, and competency-based learning frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible educational content, with strong presentation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data-driven success metrics, project management, and resource coordination across a global workplace.
• HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, preferably electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering; willingness to travel domestically and overseas, sometimes at short notice.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the petrochemical, water treatment, or power industries.
• Experience with hirify.global products or equivalent technical product knowledge, including electric or fluid power actuators and network systems.
