Senior Structural Engineer (10-15 years)

What you will do

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial and industrial projects.
• Design steel, concrete, and masonry systems for new and existing commercial, institutional, federal, and industrial buildings.
• Lead design teams and coordinate structural drawings with architects, owners, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, multidisciplinary teams, and delivery requirements.
• Develop technical, fee, and qualification-based proposals and support marketing and business development.
• Provide consulting services directly to clients and mentor engineering professionals.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of structural engineering experience.
• B.S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) registration.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures, including new and existing construction.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, RamSS, ETABS, or Enercalc.
• Strong technical drawing interpretation, analytical, organizational, communication, prioritization, and time-management skills; ability to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with light-gage steel and timber design.
• Project management experience or certifications.
• Local AHJ experience, industry relationships, and active local industry involvement.
