Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager

Location: Rio Grande, NJ 08242; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Drive and monitor profit, sales, and performance goals while managing operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain required quality standards across the store.
• Supervise, motivate, and coach Opticians, contact lens sales associates, and other store associates.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, retention, and mentoring of potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
• Execute merchandising, marketing, pricing promotions, and other brand initiatives.

Requirements

• Maintain an optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE certification.
